Bulldawgs get some attention

KRQE channel 13 publishes a weekly poll in Albuquerque that I am a voter. Las Cruces passed Mayfield and Artesia by virtue of its 46-45 win against Artesia last week and is ranked No. 1. The Bulldawgs are now 6-0 on the season and take on Alamogordo this week. Mayfield and Las Cruces are the top two teams in the state in my opinion as of now. Cibola from Albuquerque is right there with them. Mayfield is ranked No. 2.
With the Bulldawgs and Trojans enjoying so much success, there has been talk of another MHS/LCHS matchup in the state championship. The two met in 2002 when the Bulldawgs won 17-14.
There is a good chance of the two meeting up again this year. What are your thoughts about that potential matchup and what do you think of LCHS being ranked No. 1?
