NMSU football news

According a dependable source, New Mexico State freshman receiver LaVorick Williams is looking into a possible transfer.
Nothing is definite yet and Williams could still stay, depending on who the new coach for the Aggies will be.

Wililams was signed by former NMSU head coach Hal Mumme, who was fired after four years on the job.

Also, sources tell the Sun-News that Eldorado High School wide receiver Ross Williams could be offered a walk-on spot with the team for the 2009 season.

Williams is a 6-foot-3, 175-pound receiver and caught two touchdown passes against Las Cruces High in Saturday's 5A state title game, which was won by LCHS by a score of 26-21.

I've also heard from a very reliable source that McDermott has asked for his transfer papers as well.
