Report: NMSU offers Daugherty

According to a credible source, Onate High School linebacker Zach Daugherty has been offered a football scholarship by New Mexico State. The 6-foot-1, 215-pounder will be a senior next year. He is currently playing basketball for the 16-11 Knights.

NMSU offers Daughtery before his senior season even begins. That shows that they are just trying to please local fans. They will be running into plenty more better LB's next year and they will soon find out they made their decision WAY too early.

The kid has two offers and will likely have 2 or 3 more by the time he suits up for his senior season.

You people are crazy, "recruit the local kids" on the one hand, and when they offer a local product, the haters come out.

Daugherty will play D-1 college ball, but if he chooses a better offer than NMSU, you'll be on here hating on him.
