Miguel Cotto vs. Joshua Clottey

On Saturday night in New York City, Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey meet in a 12-round welterweight bout. This is Cotto's first big fight since losing to Antonio Margarito last summer.

Cotto needs a win Saturday night to stay in contention for even bigger fights for the future. Cotto is tough and strong willed and he'll be taking on a very good fighter in Clottey, who has beaten Zab Judah and who gave Margarito a hard time in their meeting.

Clottey is a good boxer and will test Cotto. But Cotto has improved his offensive arsenal and will be just fine in that area. The fight will come down to the final few rounds, but Cotto has been in a lot of tough fights and has the edge I believe in that area. Unless Cotto just struggles, I think he'll do well late and win by a decision, 116-112.

The judge who had the fight 116-111 should be stripped of any credentials and never allowed to judge a fight again. That is downright ridiculous. I have watched the fight 3 times and did not see any way possible to justify a 5 round(point) differential. The best score was the judge that ruled for Clottey. It was a close fight that should not have had a margin of more than 2 rounds for either fighter.
