Las Cruces High vs. Onate

On Friday night at the Field of Dreams, Las Cruces High and Onate meet in a critical District 3-5A football game. LCHS is 5-2 and 1-0 in district, while OHS is 5-1 and the game on Friday will be its first district affair.

OHS played arguably its best game vs. Valley two weeks ago, but I'm sold on the Knights against LCHS. The Bulldawgs have improved a great deal in the last few weeks and I like their varied attack on offense. The Bulldawgs have a go-to running back in Xavier Hall, but they also have a few others who can do some damage. In addition, LCHS has a decent enough passing attack.

I see OHS staying fairly close throughout, but LCHS pulls away for a 35-21 win.

Any thoughts?

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise! You got it so wrong. Oñate fans and supporters believe in their team and we called it for Oñate. What we didn't see coming was the romping they gave Cruces. Please lets give credit where credit is due. I don't want to read in the paper or this blog the "yes, but" WE CAME, WE PLAYED, WE WON! Plain and simple. We were the better team on the field last night. Time to give our boys the props they deserve.

How sweet was that?
30-3 and 'Cruces only had 4o something yards rushing, and 150 or so total yards, getting half of them in the last 44 seconds on the second string defense.

WOOT WOOT!!!!
