Hmm... Yuri Foreman just won the WBA belt Saturday night so I'm not sure he'd be ready for a fight in January although it's not out of the realm of possibility. That would leave either Cory Spinks or Sergiy Dzinziruk as major title holders at 154 lbs. that don't have anything scheduled as yet.
Either would be a big step up in competition for Trout, but I suppose you have to step up at some point.
Of course just about anything qualifies as a major title nowadays.
Still, it's good to hear that Austin's getting a crack at the big time.
