New Mexico State senior defensive end Rhyan Anderson will practice with the squad when it starts practice for the 2008 season on Thursday.
Anderson was arrested last month and charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery.
He pleaded guilty to one battery charge, while the other was dismissed by prosecutors. He is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 18.
Any punishment handed down by the university against Anderson will be up to head coach Hal Mumme according to NMSU policy because the charge is a misdemeanor.
Mumme didn't comment on any punishment on Wednesday.
