With the Class 5A playoffs nearing, anticipation of the seeding process is growing.
Here are some different scenarios for the top four seeds.
If Las Cruces High remains unbeaten they'll be No. 1, followed by Eldorado, then I believe it should be Mayfield, then Clovis.
If Mayfield beats LCHS on Nov. 7, Eldorado should be No. 1, followed by Mayfield, Las Cruces High and Clovis.
I believe Mayfield, LCHS and Eldorado are the top three teams in the state and should be seeded that way. After those three, there just a bunch of pretenders.
Either way, there is a decent chance of a Mayfield/Cruces rematch in the playoffs.
Any thoughts?
Felix

Dont be surprised if the seedings are set up to have a LCHS / Mayfield semi-final matchup. It will almost guarantee that a northern school (Eldorado) will be in the State Championship game and will leave LCHS and Mayfield to eliminate each other in the semi's.
