New Mexico State has reportedly offered quarterback Meiko Locksley a schlarship to attend the school. The 6-foot junior is son of New Mexico head coach Mike Locksley according to sources. Should be interesting to see how the home visit goes on that one.

Probably about as awkward as the home visit with Don Flanagan would have been for Madison and Darin.
So he'll be a senior at the start of next season? Is the kid even a starter on his team? He came to NM from Illinois after the football season had ended.
I do like the moxy shown by Coach Walker, that would be something if he came to State. Would make an interesting stretch of games for the rivalry. How many other offers has he recieved?
Interesting. This kid is either very good or it is a strategic offer to let Locksley know that NMState isn't intimidated to go after ANYONE; even UNM head coach's kid. The latter seems more likely. Smart move on D-Walker's part.
Let's not forget that even though he wasnt the head coach, Coach Walker's son was signed by Oregon St. while he was a coordinator at UCLA. So he might know something about having rival coaches in a kids living room.
Although this does take it up a notch when it's the HC's son of your biggest rival. I too have to ask, what is La Cueva's depth at qb. I read that he started at Centennial High School in Il, and this is his First offer, he only has UNM and NMSU listed on his rivals page.
Trust me the kid is nice.
Yea Ive played with Meiko, and he's very good. He started for us and left it on the field every game. He's a true competetor
I played against him and he is terrible.
