This post doesn't pertain to horses, preps or boxing, but former New Mexico State athletes Eric Channing (basketball) and Alena Sharp (golf) will be inducted to the New Mexico State Athletic Hall of Fame later this year according a source close to the proceedings.
Channing is the all-time leading scorer in school history with 1,540 points.

Nice to see that Eric Channing is getting honored by NMSU. I remember watching him while I was in school and I loved his game.
By the way, Felix...did you know that Mike Harper in Gadsden won his 700th career game on Saturday? That is some kind of accomplishment...maybe you guys should do a small piece on him or something. He has really done great work down there and throughout his career. People should know more about it.
