Veteran assistant coach Mike Fanoga has accepted a job coaching outoside linebacker at Wyoming. He'll join the staff of Dave Christensen, who was hired to replaced Joe Glenn.
Fanoga spent four years on Hal Mumme's staff at NMSU. Mumme was dismissed last week.
Also, former Florida International assistant coach Bruce Hardy has applied for the NMSU coaching job according to a source.
He played collegiately at Arizona State and with the Miami Dolphins from 1978-1990.
He coached at FIU from 1999-2006. He's also coached in the Arena Football League with the Arizona Rattlers.
