David Rodriguez's new opponent

First it was Damon Reed, then Innocent Otukwu, now Marcus McGee.
El Paso heavyweight David Rodriguez, who is 26-0, had another change in opponents late Sunday. Veteran Marcus McGee is the new opponent for the Dec. 21 fight card in Las Cruces at the Dickerson's Barn.

McGee is 36 and carries a 19-14 record into the ring. He lost in his last fight on Sept. 21 in Germany, getting knocked out in the third round by Odlanier Solis Fonte.

But McGee has been a survivor in his career. He went 10 rou nd with title contender Jameel McCline, lasted into the eighth round with top heavyweight Sultan Ibragimov and went eight rounds with then unbeaten Malik Scott.
