Eldorado High School WR Ross Williams

It'll be interesting to see what Eldorado High School wide receiver Ross Williams does for his college football career. The talented receiver has received interest from smaller schools, but it'd be nice to see him get a chance for either NMSU or UNM as a walk-on. He makes plays and has tremendous upside.

Who really cares?!? Maybe you should be more concerned writing about LAS CRUCES and DONA ANA COUNTY kids than wasting your time with kids out of Albuquerque. Geez, Felix, get a friggin clue!!!

First of all Anonymous, NMSU had shown some previous interest in Williams, plus I can comment on whoever on I want to on my blog, it's my blog. Williams was one of the state's best, I don't care if he's from here, Albuquerque, Hobbs, Anthony or Farmington.

wow! Such narrow vision. I live in a state different than New Mexico so I'm not sure what goes in your neck of the woods. But, I do know that the goal of any program is to get better. One of the ways you do that is to find the best talent you can. I do know that Albuquerque is pretty darn close to Las Cruces so I would say that Williams would be considered a "local" talent. Now, if Felix only wrote about talent outside of Dona Ana or Las Cruces then I would say there is a legitimate gripe. Personally I would want to hear about whatever talent is out there and how it might impact the "local" program. I do know this much...from what I have read and seen there isn't a whole lot of top level D-1 talent in New Mexico. Not a knock on the kids who are there. Just a fact. If there were then NMSU and UNM would have a heck of a time recruiting against the likes of Cal, UCLA ,Texas etc....and perhaps something else to gripe about. :)

Keep up the good work Felix and don't worry about that idiot - you probably just didn't write an article about him or his kid when he played. Williams is a very good player - big, fast, with a lot of potential. Someone may get a steal with this kid.

If he goes to ENMU, WNMU or Highlands.
You will probably say he made the right choice because they have better facilities than NMSU, right?

He chose ENMU.
