Las Cruces amateur boxer Siju Shabazz has been invited to work with super middleweight contender and former U.S. Olympian Andre Ward in anticipation of a February fight for Ward.
Shabazz, who won the National Golden Gloves title at 178 pounds last May, is also scheduled to fight later this month for the United States squad in a dual vs. Mexico.
Shabazz represented the U.S. in international competition against Australia and England in 2007.
