New Tapia foe

The opponent for Johnny Tapia has been swapped. Instead of fighting Mexican veteran Jose Alonso (32-13-2, 15 KOs), Tapia will now face Colombian Pedro Rincon. Rincon is 30-14-2, with 25 KOs, but has lost six straight fights. The other bouts scheduled for Friday night at the El Paso County Coliseum are as follows: The eight-round co-main matches heavyweight Arron Lyons (8-2, 6 KOs), of Gulport, Miss., vs. Lovy Page (15-8, 12 KOs), of Dallas, Tex. On the undercard: Las Cruces' jr. middle Austin Trout (13-0, 10 KOs) vs. Mikel Williams (8-21-4, 3 KOs), of Monroe, Louisiana, in a six-round bout; El Paso debuter Jennifer Han takes on Louisiana's Kalishia Harris (0-1); Ricky Vasquez (2-1-1, 1 KO) of Las Cruces takes on Esli Dominguez (0-3), four rounds at feather; and heavyweight Alfred Happy (4-0, 3 KOs), of Lovelock, Nevada, fights Michael Hamilton (2-3, 1 KO) of Tyler, Texas, in a four-rounder.
