How do they pick the all-district teams? The safety for the second team all-district was given to a player from Onate who was just a substitute. I never saw him play a full game. There were other players selected the same way. How does it work? "Favortism"

The district COACHES get together after district play is complete and VOTE on the all-district team.
The safety from Onate actually played offense as well, he was usually in at safety in key situations.
It appears that the COACHES thought enough of him to place him where he is...

I was just wondering because I watch all three schools play (no particular favorite, just an old football fan) and keep my own records and put out a lot of money to the programs and I think they should be picked by stats not by who you like more or who played 2 good plays all season.
I agree with the last comment. All the teams play the same number of games so they should compile the stats of the players and the ones with the best stats throughout the regular season should get the honors of being named to the all districts teams. Like the top 2 stats winners first team and then the next 2 second team and the next honorable mention for each postion. I could live with that. Anyways good job to all the players.
I would like to know how the Honorable Mention Tackle from Mayfield was selected? He didn't play as much as some of the other Jr's & Sr's, that were substitutes.
Zane Bischof 1st team gaurd is from Las Cruces High not Alamogordo
