Couple of Aggies, WAC footbal tidbits

The New Mexico State Aggies will be a bit thinner on the defensive line this season. Junior defensive lineman Sioeli Fakalata will likely miss the 2008 season Mumme said.
The 6-foot-3, 313-pound Fakalata played in 13 games last season and had 20 tackles, including three for a loss.

Also, Boise State running back Ian Johnson had an interesting quote on whether Boise State had lost the bullseye on its back after finishing second in the Western Athletic Conference behind Hawaii.
The Broncos had won five straight league titles before last year's second-place showing.
"People still want to knock us off," Johnson said. "Hawaii beat us last year, but we beat Fresno State, we beat Nevada. All the WAC teams still want to beat us and we have to to be prepared every week."

So why is Fakalate out?
Is it an injury, academics, or religious, etc.?
Please specify.

Looks like EJ Canon will get plenty of reps but, depth and possible bowl berth might take a hit!!

It was an injury to shoulder.
