Which Prep football games are most interesting?

There are plenty of good non-district games for the three Las Cruces High Schools. Which games are you looking forward to for your favorite team before the start of district? Or which of the following games are the most important?

Mayfield
At Montwood, Sept 5
vs. Cibola, Sept.19
vs. Eldorado, Oct. 3

Onate
at Hobbs, Sept. 19
at Sandia, Sept. 26
vs. Valle, Oct. 4

Las Cruces High
at La Cueva, Sept. 12
vs. Manzano, Sept. 26
at Artesia, Oct. 3

Boy Onate plays a weak schedule this year.

I think Mayfield vs. Montwood, and Chapin will be telling. Those two programs are two of the better El Paso teams, and Mayfield looks to be a little bit down this coming year. Cibola lost a lot, like Mayfield did, so hard to say how that one will be.

I think the Onate - Sandia game and the Onate - Hobbs will both be good ones. Sandia is supposed to be a lot like Onate (young, up and coming) and Hobbs is trying to get a "program" going. Onate's schedule is decent though.

'Cruces High's only tests look to be with La Cueva and possibly Artesia. things could get interesting this year...

I sense a shakeup from how the last couple of years have gone. I don't think Mayfield wins district this year, and 'Cruces has steadily gotten better the past 3 years, and Onate looks to be about where 'Cruces was last year.

Come On August!!!
