Aggies and moving some guys around

During Hal Mumme's tenure at New Mexico State, he's moved some guys around, for example moving a guy signed as a running back and then moving them to receiver.

Actually, that's the point of this blog item. Wide receier Chris Williams played running back in high school and was successful and then made the move in college to receiver where he has thrived.

Two other Aggie receivers with potential to have a good year also played running back in high school, Julius Fleming and Todd Lee. Both hail from Baton Rouge, La., and have had good fall camps. In fact Lee is a true freshman who appears to be a serious candidate for a starting spot at wide receiver.

Coach Mumme caught a lot of heat his first year for not putting CW in the backfield.
Man, am I glad he stuck to his guns and kept him as a WR.

I'm still trying to get familiar with the new names but, both the Lavorick and Lee kids are true freshmen and are fighting for serious playing time!

There is a certain swagger about this years team that I haven't seen in a long, long time.
Is this the year we play in Late December? I think so!

Christopher was never recruited as a running back. He was always recruited as a wide reciever.
