Boy, talk about jumping on a bandwagon! El Dorado beats a shorthanded Mayfield team, and you think the son came out for the first time up in Albuq. Well, I hope they enjoy it because in the end we all know it will come down to Las Cruces vs Mayfield at the stadium.

Shorthanded? one player didn't play. I guess one player does make the team. I'm not an Albuq fan but give them boys some credit they came down here an played their hearts out. It was a good game and in the end the better team won that night. Better luck next time.

you know whats funny when the previous polls came out and mayfield was undefeated no one would say anything. Now they lose to a new mexico team for the first time in four years and everyone comes out to bash them. what happened when everyone said they would lose to montwood or chapin or be 0-3?

I think the poll is finally getting a little more clear. Early on this poll had zero credibility because it had a 6-man team in the top ten (Lake Arthur).
Nothing against Lake Arthur, but 6 man and 11 man aren't really even the same sport.

About Mayfield... Eldorado has beaten both them and Clovis, and excuses about being shorthanded are just that... excuses.
Injuries are part of the game.

Las Cruces has proven so far that they belong at #1, if they drop one, then it's anybody's guess. Eldorado and Sandia play this week, and only one will come out undefeated.

Seems there's trouble in the kingdom now. The stars are misaligned and the trojans have lost a game.
Don't worry, it's not the end of the world and the son(sic) will indeed keep coming up in the mornings.

I, for one like having some parity in High School football.

if there is trouble in the kingdom than there is only 3 schools that dont have trouble.

Who is bashing Mayfield? Nobody on this blog. I said people were jumping on the El Dorado bandwagon.
Yes, Mayfield was shorthanded. Two Key players missed all or part of the game. The leading rusher in the state and one of the best receivers in the state. HUGE!! I do give El Dorado credit, I also said I hoped they enjoyed the win because Mayfield and Cruces will go at it for all the marbles!

CRUCES HAS PROVED TO BE #1? I THINK NOT WHO HAVE THEY PLAYED LA CUEVA SCORE WAS 28-14.
ELDORADO BEAT LA CUEVA 40-7. GO FIGURE. CRUCES PLAYS A SOFT SCHEDULE AGAIN. THEY DONT HAVE A REAL TEST TILL THE END WHEN THEY ALWAYS FALL APART
