Las Cruces High's Lucio Luttrell has been named the New Mexico Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year. Luttrell is headed to Western New Mexico next season. - Felix

Pretty big for the young man considering he was chosen over Clovis' Jaye Crockett(Texas Tech), Highland's Chad Adams(UNM), and a few others who are pretty darn good basketball players around the state.
Gotta hand it to the southern New Mexico athletes!!!
I work at the El Paso Times in El Paso, Texas, mainly as a page designer and copy editor but I do maintain my sports blog and occasionally write a story.
