Mumme is out

A well-placed source at New Mexico State University confirmed that NMSU football coach Hal Mumme is out as the team's head coach after four years.

Charley Johnson will be named interim coach until a coach is named.

The source said NMSU hopes to have a coach in place by mid-December.

I hope this is the cure everybody hopes it will be but I think it can't all be the coach. There hasn't been any support for basketball either and everbody claims they like that coach. It's pathetic to only get 2k at the first home game. What does it take to get aggie fans to come out?
